Brothers Jim and Dave have not seen each other in years, but when their father unexpectedly dies, they are forced to travel together to the family lake home in Branson. Upon arrival, they discover the house is a complete mess and they must fix it up for sale prior to receiving any of their inheritance. Their attempts to restore the house involve a series of hilarious mishaps and costly misadventures that ultimately help the brothers mend their strained relationship.
