The story revolves around a guy (Salman Khan) who keeps on changing various traits in his life just because he is not getting the necessary kick out of it. At the same time he is also very philanthropic and puts on a mask and tries to help the masses. At some juncture a girl (Jacqueline Fernandez) enters his life and he starts leading a normal life. But life has some different plans for him. A few years down the line, another rogue (Nawazuddin Siddhiqui) enters in the story and challenges the lead character to do a specific task, lest he will kill his ladylove. Also the chief of crime branch (Randeep Hooda) is behind the lead character for his notorious activities in his past life. Now baring all of this will the guy be able to save his love? Or will he give up in his chase and accept defeat in front of the villain? Or will he be caught by the cops?
